Message from the CEO

Welcome to Raising A Village Foundation! Raising A Village Foundation (RAV) is an independent non-profit organization committed to providing high quality intervention programs and community resources to children, youth, and families in the District of Columbia and the surrounding areas. Birthed out of the college initiative, Driven Student Organization, on the campus of Clark Atlanta University, Raising A Village Foundation continues to improve community conditions and effectively help children and families reach their full potential.

Since our inaugural year, we have partnered with several corporations and non-profit organizations to launch our new educational component Driven 2 Succeed, a youth development program for elementary, middle, and high school students that provides support in the areas of academia, social emotional learning, and college and career preparedness. RAV has served over 300 middle and high school students, and recently awarded a three-year Campus Compact Mid-Atlantic AmeriCorps VISTA grant for the launch of our new curriculum the Let's Make A Difference Project in DC public high schools.

We are excited about the expansion of our educational initiatives, college and university partnerships, and upcoming arts programs.  As Founder and CEO of Raising A Village Foundation, I am honored to serve this organization and its members. Over time, through programs and community partnerships, RAV will create a positive environment that is an invaluable resource to young people, families and the community at large.

Building Together,

Jaleesa Hall
