Student-Centred Academic Support & Enrichment

At Raising A Village Foundation, we begin with students.

Our education programs are designed to support the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally—so students can thrive in school and beyond.

We begin with students. We begin with students. We begin with students. We begin with students. We begin with students.<

We provide high-quality, culturally responsive tutoring and enrichment that meet students where they are.

Our approach builds strong foundations in literacy, maths, and critical thinking while fostering confidence, curiosity, and a sense of belonging. By supporting students consistently and intentionally, we help them stay engaged in learning and prepared for long-term success.

Here’s How We Can Partner Together

In-School Support

Provides 3–4 hours of instructional assistance during the school day, complementing classroom instruction for K–12 educators.

Through this model, RAVF’s near-peer tutors and mentors work with small groups of up to 16 students in structured pull-out sessions from English and maths classes, offering targeted academic support aligned with classroom coursework.
In-school services are available to students in grades K-8, and 9-10.

Supporting families is how we sustain student success.

Summer Acceleration

A weekly program where students come to a school or community learning center to work on academics, social-emotional skills, and community service activities.

Summer acceleration sessions are designed to mitigate summer learning loss and reinforce knowledge gained throughout the year. Summer acceleration sessions involve at least 15–20 students and reach learners from the K-5th grades.

Lunch and Learn

Supports students during their lunch hours – allowing students to obtain tutoring support to finish assignments. Lunch and Learn sessions serve at least 16 students per grade level in 6th-8th grades.

Homework Help

An after-school program structured into two-hour sessions – with one hour for homework support, and one hour for extracurricular enrichment. Homework help is offered to 15–20 students daily and reaches students from kindergarten through 8th grade.
