We are committed to providing high quality intervention programs and community resources for children, youth, and families in the areas of education, health and wellness, and the arts.

Low-income communities often experience limited resources which result in high crime rates, increased levels of childhood obesity, low academic achievement, and a lack of cultural capital.  These factors can make it difficult for residents to rise out of poverty and become productive citizens in society.

Our goal is to create pathways of opportunity for the region’s most vulnerable areas, in an effort to improve community conditions and effectively help children and families reach their full potential.

Raising A Village Foundation has been such a great partner for us! In a matter of weeks, they have made such an impact on our organization as well as our clients.
— Terry Whitaker, Communities in Schools-Nation's Capital, Site Coordinator

We have really enjoyed having Raising A Village, specifically the Driven 2 Succeed Program in our building. The extra support has been critical for our students. Can’t wait to bring them back next year!
— Principal Massey, H.D. Woodson High School
The students enjoy working with the Driven Student Guides. They complete all of their work and understand the material better!
