Congratulations Jaleesa Hall - the 2022 Recipient of the MLK Visionary Award!

Jaleesa Hall has been awarded the 2022 MLK Visionary Award from American University. The MLK Jr. Visionary Award at AU, initiated in January 2020, was created to annually honor an AU graduate who has made a commitment to addressing the inequities in the Washington, DC community through work with a nonprofit agency or school. As the Founder and CEO, Jaleesa has been recognized for her commitment in not only founding a nonprofit organization serving children in DC, but also for her work in growing her vision to impact as many children and families as possible.

In addition to the award, RAV will be receiving a $750 gift from AU to use to continue our efforts in the community. Jaleesa will officially be honored at a ceremony on February 25th on the university’s campus. Congratulations to Jaleesa - our entire Village is so proud of you!
