Here's to Wrapping Up a Wonderful Summer at RAV

As the sun sets on another amazing season of learning, we are thrilled to share incredible moments and achievements from the Summer Acceleration Program! Last week, the Raising A Village team and our school and community partners gathered to celebrate the final days of summer programming at The Aya and Ballou High School. At Ballou, students enjoyed a field day playing interactive games, participating in team-building activities, and celebrating the last day of services with their peers. Afterward, Site Leads presented students and Summer Associates with awards to commemorate their hard work and participation in the field day festivities. In addition, our young learners at The Aya experienced an action-packed final week of programming as they participated in engaging outdoor activities that nurtured their curiosity to learn. As part of this engagement, RAV staff and Summer Associates treated students to arts and crafts projects and an energizing yoga routine that boosted their health and wellness. A heartfelt thank you to our staff, partners, and enthusiastic learners for an unforgettable summer of impact! We look forward to carrying this momentum into the new school year.

"My favorite memory from this summer was during the scavenger hunt field day activity where students had to come together and answer questions to figure out where different objects were placed around the courtyard at Ballou," said Summer Associate Di'Kya Freeman. "It was such a wonderful experience to see youth coming together to support each other, and I am proud of how far they have come this summer."
