Anjenee Cannon: Welcome to the Village!

Embracing the Mission While Fostering Outreach

As part of my commitment to aiding and empowering communities, I am proud to join the Village! Two years ago, I started my journey in the non-profit communications field, serving as a Public Ally AmeriCorps Apprentice at my local Habitat for Humanity in New Castle County. I was able to expand the agency's communications efforts. This experience spotlighting client stories, as well as the agency's achievements, sparked my interest in using communication as a tool to affect positive change in underserved communities. Following my term as a Public Ally, I served an additional term as an AmeriCorps reading interventionist and recently had the pleasure of interning at the U.S. Senate. I am deeply honored and humbled to dedicate yet another year of service, and I could not think of a better place to do so than at Raising A Village. In serving as a Communications Associate, I look forward to embracing RAV's mission and helping to foster outreach and organizational achievements for the good of the community.
