Non-profit Education Reflection

The importance of non-profit education and how our work through the Driven 2 Succeed program adds to that work. Access to adequate education is a fundamental human right, and is crucial for an individual looking to live a fruitful and impactful life.  In a country and world where money and power create disregard for human dignity, non-profit education has become critical in ensuring everyone is equally afforded this right.   Unlike traditional institutions and organizations, a non-profit is not influenced by personal gains or wealth.  A non-profit has the unique ability to offer services free of charge to its benefactors, thus allowing those less fortunate to gain access to sufficient resources they have been previously denied.  If we truly wish to see our world flourish and reach its highest potential, we need non-profits in education that support the neglected and provide avenues for everyone to achieve a healthy and productive life.  A world at its peak potential is one where human dignity is prioritized, and one where everyone can contribute their best self.

The Driven 2 Succeed program adds to the non-profit education work by providing free professional tutoring and in-classroom services that are desperately needed, and by achieving excellence in its implementation of these services.  It serves schools and community centers where 100% of the population is low income and has historically had inadequate access to the support it needs for sustainable improvement.  The program seeks not only to provide academic intervention, but also to help its benefactors grow healthy social-emotional behaviors.  Its wholesome approach, and high level of professionalism make the program apt to generating lasting impacts and solutions.
