Welcome to the Village, Joel Bernstein!

Joel Bernstein serves as a Data and Impact Associate in the Community Outreach Department at Raising A Village. Originally from Columbia, Maryland, Joel graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2022 with a B.S. in Physics. As an undergraduate, he focused mainly on researching observational astrophysics. However, he became increasingly interested in teaching and educational outreach. After graduation, Joel had his first experience working with youth at a summer astrophysics program for high school students in Chapel Hill. Following that role, he worked for a tech startup in Durham, North Carolina, called The Looma Project. Joel is excited to return to working in an educational environment with Raising A Village. He looks forward to creating more robust, reliable, and digestible programmatic data practices that maximize the organization's impact.
