National Volunteer Week: RAV Celebrates the Power of Giving Back

Happy National Volunteer Week! Every year, millions of Americans generously donate their time in an effort to contribute to the greater good. In honor of the continuous work of giving back, Raising A Village celebrates volunteers Catherine Mason (Roosevelt HS), Esther Enoch (Anacostia HS), and Nancy Barretta (Ballou HS). All three serve as Driven Student Guide volunteers, supporting students in the Driven 2 Succeed Program. Through their service, Catherine, Esther, and Nancy add value to RAV's Reach, Teach, and Inspire motto.

Their stories remind us of the power of giving back and sustaining the impactful efforts of organizations like Raising A Village. When asked why they feel inspired to give back to the community, they each reiterated the same message, "It is the ability to generate a positive impact in the community and the world that inspires me to volunteer."
