2023 RAV Staff Attend The Movement Street Job Fair & Wealth Education Workshop

Raising A Village is thrilled to support the next generation of nonprofit and community leaders committed to generating positive change! On Thursday, April 27th, RAV staff attended The Movement Street Job Fair & Wealth Education Workshop, an event designed to equip young adults with financial literacy resources and connect them with a range of valuable career opportunities. Howard University student and The Movement Street Founder & CEO Lyric Amodia hosted the event, which featured guest panelists Yared Alemu, Branch Manager & AVP at United Bank; Tracy Gill, Branch Manager & VP at United Bank; Brandon Rainer, Retail Marketing Manager & VP at TD Bank; and Brian Atkins, VP & Community Manager at CHASE Bank. Following the wealth education workshop, Raising A Village Site Leads Madison Pruitt and Britney Padilla and Communications Associate Anjenee Cannon spoke with Howard University students and alumni about career opportunities at RAV. 

"It is always a great feeling to be able to support and uplift fellow nonprofits that are doing incredible work in the community," said Anjenee. "More importantly, the fact that one of our very own, Lyric, who has worked as a DSG with RAV, is continuing to carry the torch of service. That shows the impact that RAV has made on young leaders who are making a difference."
