Founder/CEO Jaleesa Hall Participates in President Joe Biden's National Partnership for Success Panel
On Wednesday, June 7, 2023 Founder and CEO Jaleesa Hall served as a panelist on the National Partnership for Student Success (NPSS) webinar series: Colleges Moving From Commitment to Action. The panel, moderated by Mariko Yoshisato Cavey, NPSS Director of Higher Education Partnerships, and Kate Cochran, NPSS Managing Director, was aimed at institutions of higher learning that are committed to placing more of their students in near-peer mentor roles. Jaleesa was joined on the panel by fellow NPSS Higher Education Coalition Members Dr. Marygrace Hemme, Director of Academic Development and Learning at the Peer Power Foundation; Cortney Richardson, CEO of the Peer Power Foundation; and Dr. Dawn Williams, Dean of the School of Education at Howard University. The National Partnership for Student Success is a public-private initiative between the Biden-Harris Administration, led by the Department of Education, AmeriCorps, and youth-serving organizations.
"It is important that programs like Driven 2 Succeed exist to empower young college students and provide an opportunity for them to positively impact the youth," said Jaleesa. "Cultivating partnerships with organizations and higher education institutions like AmeriCorps and Howard University allows RAV to support the students we serve and offer unique opportunities for them to engage with the broader community."
