Tikis & Tapas: Our Fall Fellowship Event Was A Hit!

Raising A Village held its first-ever Fall Fellowship event on Thursday, September 7th! RAV plans to kick off the start of every new season with an event that brings the entire team together for fun and bonding outside of the office. For the "Tikis and Tapas" themed event, the team logged off to meet downtown at Spin DC, a chic ping pong social club where they wore Hawaiian-themed outfits and spent the afternoon enjoying each other's company, RAV trivia, and a variety of delicious mocktails and small plates. "As the Raising A Village staff continues to grow, it is essential that we take advantage of opportunities, like our Fall Fellowship, to galvanize the dynamic team we have developed," said Founder & CEO Jaleesa Hall. "Events like this serve as a way for us to engage on a personal, more intentional level, strengthening our connection as a team."

Attendees had a fantastic time and welcomed the well-deserved pause from their hard work in the office to socialize with their teammates. "Having the opportunity to bond outside of the office was great on its own, but the venue, activities, and food made it an exceptional staff event," said Site Lead Gabe Barouh, who won the doubles ping pong tournament with his partner Data and Impact Associate, Joel Bernstein. "Every chance we get to socialize as a team will bring us closer and allow us to bond and decompress. I cannot wait for the next fellowship event and want to know the theme to prepare my outfit!"
