Welcome to The Village, Grogan Thames!

Grogan Thames serves in the role of Admissions and Recruitment Associate. Grogan was born in California and grew up in Rock Hill, South Carolina. They graduated from Piedmont International University with a B.A. in Counseling. While this will be Grogan's first official nonprofit position, they have enjoyed volunteering within the LGBTQ+ community and at local DC shelters. Grogan is excited to work at Raising A Village because they feel the organization has significant momentum to start new programs serving community members of a wider age range. Grogan has been eager to transition careers, recognizing the impactful work they can do outside of volunteerism.

“As Admissions and Recruitment Associate, I seek to create connections with like-minded community groups in order to make educational resources accessible to students and families in our area," said Grogan. "I am excited to continue expanding Raising A Village Foundation in order to help strengthen DC's education-focused coalitions."
