Welcome to The Village, Maddy Brandon!

Maddy Brandon serves in the role of Admissions and Recruitment Associate. She recently moved to DC from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Following her graduation from Appalachian State University, Maddy moved to the city for an internship on the Hill, where she worked for the office of Congressman Josh Harder. In college, she served as the Deputy Field Director for her local Democratic Party and helped register voters while also managing volunteers. Following her experience in politics, she felt compelled to do more meaningful work where she could enact more direct change and see her work’s impact in real-time. Maddy feels that Raising A Village is the perfect place for her to make a difference, given the Foundation’s commitment to providing much-needed opportunities and resources in underserved communities.

"I am looking forward to providing our sites with the best mentors and tutors possible," said Maddy. "It is a great process to be a part of, and I cannot wait to see all of our Driven Student Guides in action, helping to usher students towards a better future."
