It's a Wrap on Our First-Ever Leadership Retreat!

We are pleased to share highlights from our first-ever leadership retreat! Last week, Raising A Village Founder and CEO Jaleesa Hall, Director of Communications Fatima L. King, Director of Programs Keisha Johnstone, Manager of Community Outreach Eva Newbold, and Manager of Education KeKyua Brock gathered for a full two days of professional development, team-building, and bonding at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club & Resort in Stevensville, Maryland. Throughout the retreat, RAV leaders discussed essential topics regarding the development of new processes and procedures, strategic plans for the organization's departments, and best practices to support our expansion. On day two of the retreat, RAV staff participated in an engaging leadership and relationship-building workshop facilitated by Jeff Franco of the Transitional Leadership Institute. 

"Every aspect of the retreat was meaningful, and there were so many heartfelt moments of connection," said KeKyua. "I am so grateful for the knowledge we received. We have exciting developments and opportunities coming our way, and it was great to learn how we will transition into this new season of growth."
