RAV and NCCF Reach, Teach, and Inspire at the Backpack 2 School Community Event!

On Saturday, August 12, 2023, Raising A Village hosted our first-ever Backpack 2 School Community Event in partnership with the National Center for Children and Families and Family Focused Initiative. This event marked RAV's first co-sponsored community engagement and bookbag giveaway in collaboration with a national organization. During the event, RAV staff handed out free bookbags and school supplies to FFI foster families and community members, shared information about RAV with event attendees, and engaged youth in fun activities. In addition, Founder and CEO Jaleesa Hall delivered a special welcome address to event attendees. RAV and NCCF/FFI leadership teams also attended a meet-and-greet to discuss upcoming opportunities for collaboration.

It was an opportunity for us to connect with the community, provide much-needed supplies for students returning to school, and build what we believe will be a long-standing and meaningful partnership with NCCF/FFI," said Director of Communications Fatima L.
